With much regret I will have to postpone the planned Rockabilly Round Up # 7 for Saturday October 1st, 2011, At the Tucker Farm Center in Calistoga California located at 1201 Tucker Road in Napa County. I do this for the most primary and foregoing reasons.
The musicians that have worked with me over these years to help build this event only deserve the best that we have to offer them. To bring their talent and skill to perform for an audience is our most primary goal and to be able to compensate them fully for their profession is the utmost important factor in my view. That is the center of why I facilitate this event for these fine and wonderfully talented individuals. With the beginning of this event I have found myself making to many compromises that eventually affect my honorable agreements with these individuals whom I consider to be my friends. Sincerely, the event at this time is under funded for all concerned do to economic hardship in the present recession.
Clearly there is the value of success to consider at this point, with in a short time of beginning our marketing for this event it became clear to us that there were many other events of the same nature and events in general that have arisen on the same date putting that success in questionable risk for full attendance. We feel that with the state of economic times that financial support through sponsorships is most difficult and not sufficient to bring our event in this time frame to a successful ending. We are re-grouping and plan to have the event, further information will be released in the near future.
